Yukikaze was the main destroyer of the Japanese Navy, and was the only one of the 38 A-class destroyers that were the main destroyers of the time to survive until the end of the war.
After the war, she served as a demobilization ship and was engaged in salvage and transport missions.
With the dissolution of the Japanese Navy, she was handed over to the Republic of China (present-day Taiwan) as a compensation ship and served as the main ship of the Republic of China's navy as Danyang.
It was later dismantled in Taiwan due to deterioration.
